Just heard on the news that British Gas is putting up gas prices by 35% with immediate effect.  All very indicative of the price squeeze due to peak oil and rising energy wholesale prices, but FFS, 35% is a HUGE amount and we're not even big gas users. I've just realised that I've forgotten to pay a store card bill (only just found the bill somewhere it wasn't meant to be) and the due date is tomorrow.  Have done a payment via my bank account this evening, but it says on the bill that payments need to be made 5 days before the due date or I'll get a £12 fine.  BUGGER ( Read more... )

I actually watched television last night for the first time for ages.  I watched the first in the new series of Torchwood and really enjoyed seeing Captain Jack and Captain John (James Marsters in full-on Spike nastiness mode) getting it on in a bar and then having a fight.  Very nice - oh yes!
